How Stripe Setup Works

1. Enter your username and email here
2. You'll be redirected to Stripe to create your account
3. Stripe will ask for your personal/business info and bank details
4. Once Stripe enables payments on your account, you can receive tips

Stripe Questions - What to Choose

• Individual vs Company: Choose "Individual" unless you have a registered business entity (LLC, Corp, etc.)
• Industry/Category: Choose the category that accurately describes your work; Stripe may request supporting details
• Bank Account: Yes, you need a bank account to receive payouts from Stripe

Username Policy

Usernames that don't complete Stripe onboarding within 7 days may be released for others to claim.

Your Responsibilities

• Chargebacks: You are responsible for any disputed payments or chargebacks
• Refunds: Handle refund requests directly through your Stripe dashboard
• Taxes: You're responsible for reporting and paying any applicable taxes
• Compliance: Ensure your use complies with Stripe's terms of service

Fees

• Platform fee: 0% - Ninja Backer is free!
• Stripe fees: ~2.9% + $0.30 per transaction (paid by you)
• Example: On a $10 tip, you receive approximately $9.41

Minimum Tip Amount

The minimum tip is $1 USD (or equivalent in other currencies). You can customize your suggested tip amounts in your dashboard after setup.
